HELLO

I am Kyla Elisabeth Weinman. I am a freelance graphic designer, brand strategist, and entrepreneur. I have a variety of experience that includes working with fashion start-ups (October's Very Own & Republic of French Fry) as well as large private and government organizations (Ontario Energy Board & Toronto Hydro). Currently I work with the Native Women’s Association of Canada as their lead designer and creative director. With over 10 years of freelance, entrepreneurial, and in the field experience I have gained maturity, perspective and professionalism that I bring to the projects I'm involved in.

Detailed in my resume and portfolio you will find I have worked with both small start-ups doing ground up branding including logos, graphic design, web and app design, e-commerce platform design and maintenance, and social media marketing and development, as well as with large corporations focused on internal communications as well as corporate branding and brand implementation.

My experience in the fashion industry includes: working as assistant designer for Drake's clothing line - October's Very Own; a year at Conde Nast's W magazine, working for a top editor; countless freelance styling and photography jobs; and running a store in Brooklyn.

All of these experiences have put my education in graphic and fashion design to excellent use.
